William JohnPORTERPeacefully on Friday 20th January 2017, at his home in Bury, Fortified by the Rites of Holy Mother Church, Bill aged 78 years. A former officer with Salford City Police and GMP. The dearly loved husband of Norah, much loved father of Simon and John, a dear father-in-law of Karen and Joanne and a cherished grandad of Christian, Lucy, Rebecca and Alex. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and his Masonic Brothers and Companions. A Requiem Mass for family and close friends will be offered at the Servite Church of Our Lady of Dolours, Kersal on Tuesday 31st January at 11 am followed by a service of thanksgiving and committal at Blackley Crematorium at 12.30 pm to which all are welcome.
